SIMON & GARFUNKEL at BUDO-KAN

I went to the concert of SIMON & GARFUNKEL at BUDO-KAN, Tokyo Japan. Though I really don't know their glory days in 60s, their songs are very familiar to me on some films and famous albums.

I love the melody of their songs of course, moreover lyrics that Paul Simon writes yield a deep beauty and a philosophy. His rhyming jingles feel a lump in my throat. I sang with them "Sound of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "The Boxer", "America " and so on.
Though Art's voices faded away their high-toned beauty like the old days, Paul's voices and guitar playing were very touched to me.

What a fantastic night, anyway.

New York Asian Symphony Orchestra

I went to the concert of New York Asian Symphony Orchestra at the Tokyo International Forum. Atsushi Yamada, a conductor of this orchestra, was a formerly IBMer. He quit IBM and went to New York City to become a conductor. It's amazing, I think.

They played some part of Puccini's famous opera like "Turandot" and "Madama Butterfly" with vocalists. I was intoxicated with their performance and beautiful Puccini's tunes.

If you have a chance, please take a look at IBM alumnus's great success.
